To Die to ourselves means…

Turn from Pride and Self-Reliance – We will not see equality with God as something to grasp for nor even equality with our neighbors, choosing instead to give more honor and even allowing ourselves to be wronged if Christ would be honored. We will not lean on our own understanding, nor stand on our own merits, righteousness or strength.

To LIVE for more means…

Turn toward Humility and Dependency – We will pursue servanthood, accepting less honor for ourselves in order to bring glory to God and elevate the powerless. We will be a people of prayer, learning to live every moment at the feet of Jesus. We will be a people of the word, who meditate on scripture to know Jesus, become like Jesus to do what Jesus did. Though we serve others we will allow others to serve us.
